Creative Partners on Stage (C.P.O.S.)

Since 2008, Theatre Orangeville in partnership with Community Living Dufferin has been offering the Creative Partners On Stage (C.P.O.S.) program.  This program provides educational and performance opportunities for adults with developmental disabilities.  Famous People Players in Toronto and the Centre for the Arts in Human Development at Concordia University were instrumental in assisting with the initial development of this on-going arts-based quality-of-life enrichment program.

The Creative Partners On Stage Performing Arts Program is conducted by specially trained theatre professionals, educators and fully accredited social network caregivers, and celebrates Ability, Inclusion and Diversity

C.P.O.S. Directors

Elizabeth Glenday

C.P.O.S. DIRECTOR

Elizabeth relishes every moment spent with the actors, volunteers and creative team of the Creative Partners on Stage program, which she has had the pleasure and honour of directing since 2011, and co-writing since 2013. She has a degree in Drama and English (University of Toronto), has taught Drama classes at Seneca College and has been a proud volunteer, instructor, staff member and supporter at Theatre Orangeville. She is a versatile performer, appearing in theatre (Kiss the Moon, Kiss the Sun, Looking, The Decorator), musical theatre (The Drowsy Chaperone, Blood Brothers, Sweet Charity , Kiss Me Kate) and television (Surviving Evil, Murder & Motives, See No Evil). When she is not acting and directing, “BusyLizzy” teaches fitness, is a published crochet designer, and creates cool stuff for her online and mobile shop, BusyLizzy Boutique. She is a black belt in karate, and enjoys an active life with her husband and two teens whose support and encouragement are always her driving force.

Jane Ohland Cameron

C.P.O.S. DIRECTOR

Jane has worked with Theatre Orangeville for 13 years.  She thrives in collaborative settings where artists work together to nudge theatre in new directions.  After university and teachers’ college, Jane worked in alternative theatre where everyone seemed to do a bit of everything. This experience shaped her holistic view of making plays and her respect for fellow theatre artists. Jane loves to mix together playwriting, play shaping, prop building, mask making, music selections and directing into a thick brew of creative expression.  To share her passion for a creative take on life is one of Jane’s greatest joys.
